Have you ever wondered why turkey ends up on the dinner table every year for ThankGiving? It's because turkey is fresh, affordable, and can feed a whole crowd. This relates to ThanksGiving because if you had people over, you wouldn't want to serve them rotten food. Turkey is affordable too! If you have to spend a lot of money on food and no one eats it, it would be a waste of money and a waste of food. Lastly, If you have a lot of people over, you don't want to run out of food, do you? Turkey can feed a whole crowd so no one is left out. This is how turkey ends on the the dinner table every year.
My Thoughts

Keep yo' hands off my Doritos! In the Doritos commercial they use emotional appeal. They use emotional appeal to get you to buy or agree with something. This Doritos commercial uses emotional appeal to make you laugh and get you to buy their product. Emotional appeal is meant to touch your emotions and get to buy things that in reality, you don't need! In the next commercial they use name-calling. Name-calling is exactly what it sounds like! In this commercial its a battle of the phones. They make the iPhone seem over rated, and they make fun of the size of the galaxy.
My Thoughts
In my opinion I think this Doritos commercial will make money. I think this because it uses emotional appeal to make you laugh and everyone loves to laugh! However, I think the Nokia Lumia commercial will not make a lot of money because they don't talk about their phone. They are to busy making fun of other over rated phone brands. In the Doritos commercial, I think their targeting teens. I think this because everyone loves an after-school snack. In the Nokia Lumia commercial I think they are targeting thirty through fifty year olds because it has a great camera and you can use it for a child's special event.
I think I would buy the product shown in the Doritos commercial. I would want to buy it because the commercial used my emotions as a way to persuade me to buy some and that's what people fall for. I don't think I would buy the phone because it doesn't talk about the phones features besides the camera what so ever. Overall I liked both of these commercials. I liked the Doritos commercial because it was humorous. I also liked the Nokia Lumia commercial for its hurtful, but true statements!

At about 210 B.C a emperor ruled over China. He had gotten the power because of his father. He was only 13 when he ruled. China won wars against their biggest rivals when he ruled, but that doesn't make him a good emperor. When he died, he made his servants drink a special poison that would make them unconscious and they were buried alive. Before he killed his servants, they made a army out of clay with over 7,000 soldiers to protect him in his afterlife. They were restored in 1974 and put in National Geographic museum. These sculptures were created by about 700,000 people!
My Opinion
I would not want to live during the time period of this crazed emperor. According to the, " Times for kids" article, he punished people by torturing them, killing them, or making them his servants. He also spent lots of money wastefully. For example, he spent lots of money on his grave.

Over 110 million years ago, a creature lurked the swampy waters of Niger. It weighed over 8 tons, and was 40 feet long. This monster snacked on what ever it wanted, from small dinos, to the famous T-Rex. This creature was known as, the "Super Croc." This crocodile had a jaw that was 6 feet long. It was designed for grabbing prey. It had about 130 razor sharp teeth made for piercing flesh.
My Opinion
Based on the article "Super Croc" by Peter Winkler, "The jaw was designed to grab and tear through flesh" which means this monster must have been on the top of the food chain. If it could pierce flesh, then any animal could not have stood a chance while in a fight with an amazing Super Croc.
